F1 World Championship 2008 near the end
By next October 12th one of the remaining three Formula One races were held at the Fuji Speedway in Japan, the other two races are China and Brazil, respectively.
Last year in Japan, the McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton was crowned the winner. In This time, the race continues to build up more expectation as Hamilton leads the drivers' standings closely followed by Ferrari's Felipe Massa and BMW-Sauber driver Robert Kubica.
It has become a very different Formula One year than we expected, mostly due to all the unbelievable situations have taken place in each of the fifteen races already completed, in which all these extraordinary drivers have participated. We, the fans of Formula One, have been witnessed the action all over the world, from the first race in Australia, where Lewis won his first title of the year, followed by the race in Malaysia, where the current champion Formula One, Kimi Räikkönen showed his driving skills by grabbing the title. In addition, we have seen Massa kept flawless performance of steady growth since it won a total of five races for the Italian team Ferrari, a real achievement for the Brazilian as Ferrari's second driver.
Other twist was that of the Canadian Grand Prix where the Polish Robert Kubica won the race, giving the BMW-Sauber team, a real momentum in the top three best teams Formula One this season. Two other surprises that should make known are those of the Hungarian Grand Prix, where McLaren second driver Kovalainen took the title and the incredible victory of the Toro Rosso driver, German Sebastian Vettel ago in Monza, just a couple of weeks. Again, these situations show us the complexity and uncertainty these sprints are, nothing is certain until the vehicle crosses the finish line first.
It has also been disappointments several better things were expected from drivers such as Spanish Fernando Alonso, who currently drives for Renault, as well as world champion Kimi Raikkonen, who still has not found the winning formula to retain his title, as it is known that is not saved for a second consecutive year. Räikkönen has been, but inconsistent in his performance, which has faced several mechanical problems and for some reason that is not the same as we saw last year. These are the reasons Hamilton Massa and Kubica are above him in the standings and is very likely that the situation stay as it is now.
As the Spanish Fernando Alonso, this was a quiet year for his professional career as he was able to get away from the spotlight that followed him while he drove for McLaren. We know your decision to drive for Renault was mainly due to their struggle in the Formula One industry and intelligence liaison was connected. Despite his low profile performance, Alonso triumphed at the Singapore Grand Prix and gave his team the victory they had not had in a long time.
The new world champion will be crowned during the first week of November, just after the conclusion of the Brazilian Grand Prix and this will also be a new chapter in the history of the world of Formula One as neither Hamilton, Massa or Kubica have been world champions before.
